Today I have chosen another local company. Clarke Tile has been in business since 1978 and from the looks of their logo I believe it. Actually the logo is pretty typical of most contracting company’s. Here is the logo and the company name (Clarke Tile Company, Inc.) generally appears below in a sans serif typeface.
Today I chose to redesign their logo in a way that lets the company name become incorporated directly into the overall image. I used six diamond shapes as a background to contain the letters of the word “CLARKE”. This allows the the name CLARKE to become the most prominent and hopefully memorable part of the company name. The diamond also imply tile shapes helping to reinforce what the company does (install bathroom tiles). The remainder of the company name – “TILE COMPANY, INC.” is still clearly represented in a rectangular banner below the diamonds. I inverted the right and left sides of the rectangle to create points which will guide the viewer’s eyes into the banner and read that portion of the company name. I used blue for the main color as this is the existing company color. That’s it. Hope you like!
