Today I have chosen to revisit the Clarke Tile logo. I do like yesterday’s submission but I think today’s version has greater visual impact.
Typography – I chose a typeface called Eurostyle today. It is a sans serif and another of my favorites that I haven’t used in awhile. I used the extended style. I like the square or rectangular space created by the characters. I also like the rounded corners of the characters. I carried the rounded corners over to the shape forms above and below the company name, which I arranged to represent tiles.
Color – I chose to stick with the company’s blue color however I went a bit lighter and added to the palette by adding gradually lighter shades which go from blue to blue green and green. The orange is an accent which I think adds a bit of visual interest and draws the viewers attention, perhaps keeping their eye on the logo a bit longer. It might be interesting to experiment with the color palette a bit more and try some additional combinations. And that’s it for today! As always, I hope you like.
