Thank You Duran Duran – Well before I move on to designing for another band I just want to give a big cyber hug to Duran Duran and the Duran Duran fans who have come to visit, comment, and follow Circadian Creative on Facebook and Twitter! Circadian Creative has been receiving record page views and increased traffic today from duranduran.com‘s press release page as well as a couple of Duran fan sites. I was tempted to create just one more Duran design, but don’t lose hope I just may at some point. Anyway, thank you so much everybody!
Hello CAKE -Now, on to another design for another band. I am also a pretty big fan of the band Cake so I thought I would take a stab at creating a few Cake inspired pieces. I have always been attracted to the design of Cake’s album covers over the years. They are very consistent and I love how they incorporate one or two pieces of vintage clip art and typeface with simple patterns and color. So today I created a jacket/CD cover for a fictitious album. I also love the album titles that Cake comes up with. While listening to the news at lunch today a suspicious package was mentioned. I, of course, said “Suspicious Package, now that would be a great name for a band!” It turns out it is the name of a local D.C. band. Here it is as a Cake album title. Enjoy! ~Sean

I love the way the package looks like it was sketched with a colored pencil. The font on Suspicious Package is great too. And when I looked at some of CAKE’s actual album covers, I realized this is one that definitely has “the look.” Good job.
yea this has the cake look for sure and works here– But the bands work is pretty simple so i can’t rate this as a great SPC work due to the ease of the design concept…
