Light & Dark 2

Another photo taken by me. The sun peaking out from behind the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. I wish I had more time to play with the perspective in the type treatment, but it’s been a long and tiring day. Hey, I just realized I’ve made it six months doing a design a day! Wow! The half way point!

Oh yeah, I am expecting a Wacom graphics tablet to arrive via Fed Ex tomorrow. Please tune in again and see what imagery results. I think October, or at least part of October, will be dedicated to me learning to use the graphics tablet – so tune in often for some potentially interesting and perhaps comical creations! ~Sean

Light & Dark.

Another photo taken by me. I love images of leafless trees in winter. The bare branches against the sky always offer up a dramatic image. When I looked at this image today I thought of light and dark. So… you can figure out the rest. Hope you like and I’ll see you again tomorrow.  ~Sean

Modern Architecture 2.

Another photo taken by me of some more modern architecture. This is part of the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, located  in Virginia Beach Town Center.  Again, I desaturated the image and then gave the image an indigo tone. I used the same modern sans serif typeface as yesterday for the wording. See you tomorrow!  ~Sean

German Engineering 2.

Another Porsche image. This time more recent, probably from a couple years ago and it really brings out the “engineering” aspect of the car. That’s all for today. Hope you like. ~Sean

German Engineering

Today’s design incorporates an image of a 1954 Porsche speedster and the phrase German Engineering. The design is fairly clean and minimal, very European. That’s all for today. Hope you like. ~Sean

American Muscle.

Today we have an image of a ’68 mustang to represent American Muscle, a reference to muscle cars of the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. I used dark green inspired by the Steve McQueen movie Bullitt. If you’re not familiar he drove a dark green 1968 Mustang. I’m partial to this design as I drive a dark black Mustang. Hope you like. See you all tomorrow! ~Sean
