I think this is one of my favorites. Perhaps I was inspired by the beautiful day we had in the Washington D.C. area today. The weather was just great with warm but comfortable temperatures and a nice breeze. I found myself wishing our Summer could be like this day. Unfortunately I am sure we will be subject to the muggy, humid days of Summer that we usually have to endure soon enough.
I used another ornamental glyph from the typeface Fournier Standard. After applying an appropriate gradient to define the objects I added some strategic blurring to create perspective. I hope you can guess what this is.
Another wonderful day off. I spent the morning at the Arboretum surrounded by Bonsai. The afternoon was spent re-potting two new trees, and being lazy. The laziness continues into the evening with this design adapted from yesterday’s. Happy Friday!
I am enjoying a day away from the rat race and my 9 to 5 job. I will be doing the same tomorrow. It is my annual Bonsai weekend celebration which coincides every year with the Potomac Bonsai Festival at the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington DC. Tomorrow I will be spending a good portion of my day at the festival taking in the sights and buzzing around the vender areas. Today has been a rather lazy day. I performed some maintenance on my collection of trees in the form of their bimonthly feeding and some pest prevention tasks. I also created this design based on a traditional Japanese pattern. Enjoy!
